The Native Dutch speaking Annemieke van Dam studied at the Brabants Conservatory in Tilburg, under teachers Edward Hoepelman and Antoinette Kouwenberg. She is  also fluent in English and German. Directly after graduating she got offered the lead in the musical Sleeping Beauty in the Efteling Theater in Holland and subsequently appeared in the Gershwin musical Crazy for you (Stage Entertainment) as Lucy and Polly Baker.

Quite early in her career she decided to move to Germany, where she played Constance in Three Musketeers (Stuttgart) and Lisa Carew in Jekyll&Hyde (Bad Hersfeld). Along side musical productions, Annemieke is in high demand as a singer for diverse international musical concerts and galas. She appeared as Special Guest in the ‘Absolute Uwe’ Tour with Uwe Kröger in Germany and Austria, toured through Holland with ‘A Tribute To Michael Jackson’ and sang concerts with Patric Scott in Switzerland. Also she is a frequently asked singer for CD’s (Pompeji, Der letze Tanz, Musical Emotions, Pocket full of Christmas, Licht, SOS Kinderdorf).

Her big break-through however, came with the title role in the Musical ELISABETH: the most successful German-language musical. Since 2005 she has appeared regularly in this role. First in the  Stage Entertainment production in Stuttgart, then in the two big tours through Germany, Switzerland and Italy, finally arriving in Vienna in 2012 to play the 20th Anniversary production for the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien.
She sang and played this role in 18 cities, 5 Countries and 3 Languages. Annemieke can be heard on two CD recordings; the Live Double CD of the tour and the 20th Anniversary version recorded in Vienna. As a result of this, she also got offered a tour ‘Wien Musical Concert II’ in Japan (Osaka/Tokio).

Recently Annemieke played Quinevere, one of the two lead female roles, in Frank Wildhorn’s new world premiere Musical ‘Artus’, in St.Gallen – Switzerland, directed by Francesca Zambello and can be heard on the Castalbum.
Since the first of October 2014, she is playing, with great reviews, the role of MARY POPPINS in Vienna in the first German version of the Disney and Cameron Mackintosh hit  Musical!
